Kaikoura Mountains just after sunrise

It was very cold this morning.  We didn't get any snow to speak of, although I saw a few patches of wind-blown sleet as I walked down the hill this morning.  The sky was mostly overcast, but the sun did creep under the cloud to illuminate the mountains.  Later it cleared and the sun came out, but still a strong southerly wind.

I've just upgraded my mac to Yosemite, and synchronised mail etc, so lots of housekeeping jobs to do on the computer now, to tidy up all my files.  A good job for a cold, winter's day.
