Mouse house

Found a family of mice, nestled in the sawdust at the bottom of a bucket in the barn. Difficult to know quite what to do. If I left them in the bucket they would die, unable to leave the bucket. If I let them out of the bucket they would likely die due to disturbing the nest. Tipping the bucket into the trash can......
Eventually I tipped the bucket on its side to let nature take its course. Death is in their future, but they now have a chance for it to be a little lobger
