Pruning ...before and after

The last scarlet heart-shaped leaves have fallen from the forest pansies(cercis canadensis)  which stand sentinel to our front entrance, so the extra shows the full skeletal tree framework and the main picture shows the lovely Adie ( skilled and hard-working) and Dr D doing the annual prune of a metre or so and tossing the pruning directly onto our old faithful tip truck. Before lunch they had it stacked as high as the cab roof , the load safely held by the "greedy boards" ( two old doors) and tarp and tie-downs.
