Fish River Canyon View

I got up a little later than usual on our last day at Fish River Canyon and this was the view outside our 'chalet'- in fact I could see this while lying in bed!
The plant on the left, which can be seen all over this area, is Euphorbia damarana. It is also known as Damarara milk-bush, or even has a nickname told to us by our guide as Rhinos Ice Cream. The latex inside the stems is highly toxic to humans and is a severe irritant if it gets onto the skin.  I watched rock hyrax nibbling on it.
