Boardwalk to the beach

We enjoyed a short bike ride this morning before the sun became too hot - although it was still hot enough and a couple of inclines raised my pulse rate a bit! (It's a long time since I've been on a bike.)

We cycled across the golf course and down to the beach. Last time I was here there were enormous breakers rolling in off the Atlantic. Today, the sea was remarkably calm, which will have been a disappointment to all the surfers.

Then back to the house for a dip in the pool and a cold drink before lunch. This is the life!
