Chiltern gentians

I found the first Chiltern gentians in flower at the nature reserve this morning, over a week earlier than the earliest record I have. Many plants are hardly showing yet, due to the very dry conditions, but there are clusters of well developed plants in slightly shaded situations and in one of these clusters a single plant is in full bloom.
