Ceci N'est Pas Une Orchidee

I usually like to annotate my flower entries with the name of the species in the image. In this case I can't because I have no ideas what it is. It's growing outside my back gate on the bank of the canal.

The question marks will stay there until some knowledgable blipper tells me what it is. I'm guessing some kind of orchid??

My guess was wrong. Far from being something as exotic as an orchid. It's a Groundwort!!!!!
