Cost cutting Councils

The village has always had a lot of nice, but unremarkable, grass verges beside the pavements, they must add up to miles in total.

They are no longer unremarkable since the council decided to plant them with native wildflowers. Now they only have to mow them twice a year, thus saving money, and making a beautiful display into the bargain. Today they also seemed busy with butterflies and bees.
