Baana is open!
Once there were a railway. Based on the amount of trains in a day we could foresee if economy was going to up or down after few months. Why? The rails went to the western habour and if economy was boosting there were lot of ferries coming and going in the habour and trains were needed to carry all things from the habour or to the habour.
Now the rails have been taken away and the channel has been built to people for cycling and walking.
The picture was taken four hours before the official opening ceremony today - Helsinki day celebrating 200th year being capital of Finland. People were eager to walk and cycle in the channel before the opening in spite of trucks that were finalising the channel.
