Wanderlust
What a lovely day we've had! We went into town for a Peruvian lunch at Coya (utterly delicious set menu, could barely stop myself from choosing the "unlimited champagne" option!), then visited the RA to see the Joseph Cornell exhibition: Wanderlust. He wasn't well known but he was hugely influential- putting potions in glass cases and calling them "Pharmacy" long before Damien Hirst. He travelled extensively in his imagination, never leaving New York yet imbuing his work with a beguiling exoticism. I loved it.
After feeding our minds with art we stretched our legs with a walk around Green Park, distracting ourselves with people-watching . Then we scooted home to a G&T in the garden where the naughty kits have been playing ALL DAY.
