Fake
You rarely find cider in Germany.
Beer, of course and apple juice* also, but cider? No.
So imagine our happiness when shopping yesterday to find a special promotional display of blackberry flavoured and 'normal' cider. Having tried it & liked it & realising that it's probably a short lived promo, I'll go back tomorrow and relieve them of their stocks!
Being who we are, we googled the brand, and discovered that it's not as British as it's trying to appear, but the name was chosen to sound authhentically British, personally I don't give a damn - a cider by any other name would taste as sweet.
* apfelschorle is the go to drink of most of the kids here (apple juice and fizzy water, personally I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole)
