The Green Loch

Or Loch Uaine, giving it it's real name. It is called the green loch, because when you look into it , you can see under the surface. But the colour is green! Folklore tells us it is green because the Fairies wash their clothes in it.
It is a thirty minute brisk walk up past Glenmore lodge to the loch. You could walk on to the Lairig ghru, which is a mountain pass through the Cairngorms . We enjoyed our afternoon in the Cairngorm National Park. Aviemore and Glenmore were very busy
