I've been away for a couple of weeks - did you really think it would be long before I headed out to find a steam engine?

This is one of K&ESR's terriers. This engine was built in Brighton in 1872 for work in east London and after 30 years there it came to run on what is now the Kent & East Sussex in the early 20th century. For more detail of this engine's history I recommend The Terrier Trust.
