Sunlit Poppies

Pottering around mostly today - well it is Sunday! I picked the first raspberry from our garden today (note the singular), I am told by Mrs madwill that it was delicious. Looking at the canes I may get one tomorrow!

Blustery walk today - it kept looking like it was going to rain, but never did! On the way back I spotted these poppies alongside the wheatfield - the sun shining through the petals looked good. I opened aperture to max  and used a slightly higher ISO to get the fast shutter speed needed to freeze their movement - they kept blowing out of frame!

I had a good couple of sessions yesterday sorting and culling photos from the Lake District - still only finished day 3 of 5! The images are on flickr here and here.
