Perast Sunburst & Sunset

After breakfast and a swim on Bigova beach we set sail to Perast. It is an old town in Montenegro, located at one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Boka Perastska. The Captain kindly did a 360 degree sail around the  islets of St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks. They are stunning and much photographed.


We docked about 5 pm and after a shower went for a walk along the stunning seafront. The extra photo is of sunset, but as I've posted a couple this week I've relagated it! Shortly afterwards a few of us sat and enjoyed some drinks at a seafront bar. Suddenly I saw the burst of sunlight through the clouds and loved the light. That's the main blip photo.

It was our last night and six of us sat together and had a great meal and drinks to wrap up the week. The two doctors from Bristol had a romantic meal alone on the table behind, whilst the family of four from London had a meal in another restaurant.

The importance of Perast and Boka Perastska region in Montenegro history and todays tourism is immense. A great number of historical monuments have made Perast an UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site". A few famous people have properties there.
