Potted History.
Well he asked for it. Got involved with the murders of the Princes in the Tower, then headed off to Wales to raise an army to put Henry Tudor on the throne. His army came unstuck when the river Severn flooded, and seeing Richard`s on the other side, Buckinghams troops `melted` away. He fled to the New Forest with a price on his head. Captured there and taken to Salisbury where the King was having a week end. Richard ordered his trial for treason and execution next day.
It was pointed out that this would be a Sunday, to which the King replied "Well it won`t make any difference to Buckingham will it". He was 28 years old when he had his head chopped off in public. The site is now Debenhams . And the rest as they say is history.
