Sauvie Island

One of my favorite places in Portland is a little farm community, actually an island, about ten minutes from downtown Portland. It is uniquely beautiful in every season, but because there are so many farms, it is especially fun to visit in the summer. We stopped at farm stands and bought berries, and apricots for jam, and enjoyed the beauty of the fields from the car, as the temperature was close to 100!
Grateful today for...farmers! I'm sure it's not an easy life.
