Cute doesn't last

Seagulls are magnificent birds in flight and cute when in the nest but sadly turn into noisy pains in the bahookie as they swoop at pets minding their own business and people trying to fix roofs or tv aerials.
Why are they nesting on our roofs instead of the cliffs where they belong?
There are three chicks in the nest so our peace will soon be shattered.
