Frozen Balls

Wow, who knew that fog freezes?  

I certainly didn't.

These wee frozen balls were all over the place this morning, and I couldn't work out what they were as I knew it hadn't hailed.  I puzzled on this off and on all day, until one of our teachers told me what it was.  I'm relieved to say that the first time she saw it she  didn't know what it was either.  

First day of the new term today.  The kids were all enthusiastic and the teachers still had smiles on their faces at the end of the day so I assume it went well.  Me?  I was in my office most of the day, head down, dealing with all the extra paperwork that seems to arrive on the first day of term.
