Dawn Awakening

Camera at the ready at dawn is not my usual mode of operation, but I was awake this morning about 5.30 and noticed the interesting atmospheric conditions. I liked the impressionistic layers of tone and colour looking across Milngavie to the Campsie Hills with the layer of mist. It looks more like autumn than summer.

Rain is forecast to sweep across the country for the rest of the day so this may be as much as we will see of the sun in Scotland on this 'Glasgow Fair' Monday - the traditional holiday fortnight for the city when businesses closed and ma, pa and the weans headed off with buckets and spades to the seaside. Let's hope it picks up a bit for  holiday makers in general on 'staycation'.
