WHAT A PAIR OF CLOWNS.....

.... could have been what this kookaburra was thinking as I (or the Boss did) spotted him in the very top of a gum tree up in the back reserve this morning.

The kookaburras are normally flanked by the noisy minors as shown here. It was a super winters morning today, which then turned dull and grey this afternoon. We had a wonderful day with Alice around as usual on Mondays, and she excelled in reading Nanna a story at one point to send her to sleep.
