Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens is my literary hero above all others. Yes, I know his fictional women are highly questionable. Also that his treatment of his wife was cold hearted in the end. All I can say is that he was of his time and that a modern approach to divorce would have been better. All the same, he was a great writer whose books live on, and also an editor and publisher. Top of the tree and died too young. I have returned to the Selected Letters, as they amount to another great book and can be picked at while my work load (which includes reading) is off the scale.
