Damp Old Night

We have passed the halfway point of the petanque season now, all the fixtures from the first half are now reversed, so tonight we played host to Creigiau Jacques. Me and Dawn were supporting our team, we play next week in Cardiff.

As you can see it was a wet old night, even though the rain had ceased several hours before. The drainage on our pistes are terrible, but we have only had to cancel two games this season due to the weather, it could have been much worse considering the summer we have had!

We drew the match, which always feels a bit like the one that got away when we were 2-0 up half time. We can't seem to get that magical 3rd game to win the match at the moment. It's our fifth draw this season, with two wins and six losses.

Hopefully we can get our season going in the right direction next week, a couple of wins would propel us up to mid table.
