The Life Of Ponty Cyclops

Comma Butterfly

I thought I would spare you the messy photos from today ...

I am in Ross on Wye staying at my brothers whilst poor old Dawn toils away in Birmingham doing a training course.

I must admit there was the odd pang of guilt whilst I sat in the sunshine supping cider.

My brother has a wonderful buddleia in his garden, it should be plastered in butterflies, but sadly it is not. This looks to be one the worse summers for butterfly populations in living memory.

I managed to snap this wonderful Comma in the afternoon. It is so called as it has a small white comma mark on it's under wing.

All of Andrew's old neighbours from Cardiff turned up in the afternoon, and there was much drinking and merriment and staying up far too late.

We are doing more of the same tomorrow!!
