Snow in June?

Not quite, but the freezer has been getting progressively icier, then it hadn't been shut properly so had partly melted and refrozen, freezing all the drawers together and making it then impossible to close properly with a small iceberg attached to the door! So with a lot of food still in the freezer we set about speed defrosting, wrapping the drawers of food in towels and putting them in the bath, and mum attacking the freezer with a spatula - this was the result!

Besides freezer escapades, we had a quick tour of my Scottish side of the family for Alastair, starting with my Auntie Sheila who furnished us with a nice bottle of prosecco (shame Alastair doesn't drink, hehe!). We then went for a trip to Ikea to meet my sister and her husband (and of course obligatory trip round the whole store to end up with only tea lights). After going back to Susan's for coffee, cake and a Meggy cuddle we headed to my Auntie Marion's. Poor boy, he's meeting my big brother Ian tomorrow as well. If you knew my brother you wouldn't think it weird that Alastair and I have been together over 3 years and they've never met...
