Manchester Central Library

I'm in Manchester!
This is the reflection in the ceiling of the 'pod' which was constructed in 2012 at a cost of £3.5 million (!!!) and links the Central Library with the Town Hall extension. It seems its construction was quite controversial as it blocks the Library Walk. I'm not surprised as it was rather lovely and can't help thinking that money could have been used for something a little more useful .....
