Verbena Rigida....

I thought that this was a minature version of Verbena Bonariensis. Well it's definitely a version of verbena called Verbena Rigida. It's blooming on the Lost Gardens of Manchester installation on the terrace of Manchester Art Gallery. You can see some people enjoying the sunshine in the deckchairs through the flowers. This installation has been developing since the spring and will finish with a flourish at the end of October with Halloween pumpkins.
