Summer Solstice
Very overcast, showery day such a shame for the golf over at St.Andrews.
If Beachcomber could have taken Maeve the Deerhound he would have taken advantage of the £10 entry fee to the Open :-)
This is my latest image for the MonoMonday challenge.
This is a lino cut of the Calanais stones and purists will know that these were probably used to track a lunar cycle rather than a solar event.
However when I lived on Lewis it didn't seem to deter the visitors we got at the summer solstice so I hope you will accept them for the challenge :-)
My extra shot shows the original coloured print :-)
