First Flight

This was my first solo flight- at age 31 ;-)

I caught this amazing view from the plane on the way out.

I dragged myself up at 6am this morning, and boy was it an eye-opener! I normally set my alarm for this time, but never get up before about two minutes to 7!

Well, it was a revelation! I got so much done! I had breakfast, got ready, and still had time to hoover my house, dust, change the bins and unload the dishwasher!

We had a school talent show today, which was a fun event at the end of the term. In between sitting and being entertained, my head kept going "whoa, I'm going to Amsterdam tonight!".

I popped home at lunch for a quick chat with the parents, and to see Little B.

I left school as soon as I could, and managed to be ready for 4:30pm when my mum picked me up to drop me at the station. As we said goodbye she unknowingly told me a sad story, which sadly fuelled my anxiety! I always find it hard to leave her! Then on the train a very old man sat beside me which reminded me of my dear Gramps, which really got me going. His hands were exactly the same as Gramps's and when he thanked me for giving up my seat, I almost sobbed....!

Once I made it to Gatwick I gave myself a talking to. When I've committed to something, like a journey, I know I will be fine.
