Summer?

Monsoon season in Arizona.  The rain and thunder started before noon today.

       Kathy took a break to help her sister at Burro Mountain Homestead near Silver City, NM over the week-end.  She brought back some reading material for me: Christopher Fowler's Peculiar Crimes Unit mystery series.

       I've been perusing the second volume of Peter Barnes' English Country Dance Tunes from which I learned The Barley Mow  (Thompson 1776).

      I watched Fritz Lang's Metropolis  on TCM yesterday.  So many scenes that have strongly influenced modern sci-fi movies (Fifth Element, Star Wars, );  Finally watched My Brilliant Career  too with Judy Davis and a young Sam Neill.
