B in L's Birthday looms.
The up side we always know what to get him. Having been weaned of his favourite tipple (Which had strange and deleterious effects, even if NOT taken in excess. Being ex-wavynavy you might guess it.) He is now devoted to whisky, the birthday present problem solved for ever.
Down side, nothing against them whatsoever but it entails an enforced visit as opposed to a chosen one.
Back to the up side - a brace of Grand-kids 9 & 8, one of each, tend to keep me busy, amused, awake and using up the old calories like nobody's business.
It just struck me how positively ancient we must seem to them since in August we both move into "borrowed time" reckoning 3 score + 10.
Downside again. Not much Blipped.

Real Upside...
1. Gaffer got a vastly better photo of her Dad than she previously had.
2. Saw a photo of his Mam which she had never laid eyes on or met/seen.

RESULT!!!

Plus I didn't need to publish a photo of their front garden yet, which now bears a strange resemblance to the top of Honister. Still, maybe it'll not flood so much.
