Outside the casino where we stopped for dinner on the way home after a long day of making funeral arrangements for my mom. Sat down with $100 at a penny one-armed bandit while Pete fooled around at the craps table, and in less than 5 minutes almost doubled my money, then paid for our dinner with plenty to spare. Not being much of a gambler, I always stop after my first big win of the night, which makes me a boring casino companion when I win early.
Sooooooo tired, but surprisingly at peace and happy for my mom and all her loved ones on the other side who, according to her right before she "crossed the threshold" as she put it, were there to escort her home.
Thanks to all of you for making sure that Eda's memorial blip from yesterday was truly appreciated. That was taken in Machias, Maine, where she grew up, and she was with her dog, Teddy. She thanks you all, I'm sure~ :)
