Time Out

Great news today. Having gone to hospital at the direction of his GP on 7th November 2011, my dad was discharged home today. That is 7 months and 5 days or 218 days ago.

It has been a rollercoaster for us, never mind him, and there have been a few times when he wasn't expected to pull through so getting him home is a very special event for the family.

Unfortunately, I can't share in that special time as I am 400 miles away but will be going up as soon as possible.

Updated: Tomorrow's blip will show that this was a rather short-lived experience for my dad as he returned to hospital barely 24 hours after leaving.
