Skating on the prom

Hot. Before 10 or after 6 it can be bearable. This evening a strong breeze did make it comfortable to walk/skate along the sea front to the Neilsen luxury holiday complex 1km to the south. It was like a country golf club - all Brits, plus fours and comb-backs. They will do day rental of their dinghys, but no one is quite sure how much they will charge!

We dined tonight at our host's mother's restaurant next door - The New Mill Taverna. Definitely the best food so far - no menu to choose from, just a set meal starting with garlic dips, then deep fried feta cheese parcels (with honey and black sesame), shrimps in white wine, moussaka (done right) and finally beef Stepanov. All accompanied with a Rosé wine that was lovely, but wouldn't taste the same back home. And chilled watermelon to finish it off.
