Hanging out the window

Tried to capture the nights sky! So I didn't want to go outside again as I got wet the last time putting the bins out so opened my living room window and was hanging out taking photos- thankful for the time of night as noone was really walking past and couldn't see me trying to get my blipfix.

Today was a whole mixture of emotions, supporting family, friends and loved ones and also working with some of the most hard to reach young people in the country. Although I always try to do my little bit, I always feel there is more that we could do to stop them getting in to these situations.

I am dreading the day when I have to go through what my good friend has been going through these past few days!

This poem always makes me think about some of my best friends who are no longer with us. It is by Rudyard Kipling and called Four-Feet.

I have done mostly what most men do,
And pushed it out of my mind;
But I can't forget, if I wanted to,
Four-Feet trotting behind.

Day after day, the whole day through --
Wherever my road inclined --
Four-feet said, "I am coming with you!"
And trotted along behind.

Now I must go by some other round, --
Which I shall never find --
Somewhere that does not carry the sound
Of Four-Feet trotting behind.
