The rugged rock

The large honeysuckle which climbs up the wall outside our front door has been growing vigorously this year. So much so that it's pulled down the trellis. When I came to cut it back I found that a nest with 3 blue eggs was hidden in the depth of the growth. I handled the nest carefully and felt the eggs to be warm. Once the honey suckle was a manageable size, I replaced the nest high up in the honeysuckle. Within minutes the hen was back sitting on the nest. When we last checked the empty nest, we reckoned that she'd laid another egg!
