Something So Right

Not the ideal way to spend Valerie's birthday. Bending down to take something out of the washing machine, I twisted my back and spent most of the day lying on the floor; standing up was just too painful.

By this evening, I felt better and was able to join the family for a celebration meal at Kurazushi, and then sing Happy Birthday before eating birthday cake.

A very sweet moment was when Arthur presented Valerie with this birthday card which he had secretly made for her from the scratch foil he won at bingo.

I still can't get used to something so right.
