The Wireless

We had one of these when I was a kid in Sallynoggin. The exact same type but a few of the knobs were missing. Transmission on Radio Eireann ended each night with the national anthem  at midnight. My father used to say that the presenter put on the record and made a dash for the last bus home. It could be true. It was a great form of news and entertainment.
