Walk on the beach

It has been a mixed summer in terms of the weather, as the footage from the golf in St. Andrews proved.  When I took this photograph it was fairly pleasant but at the time of writing this it's miserable, wet and dull.  Having said that, I have come to the conclusion that an overcast day is often better for a landscape photograph than brilliant sunshine because you don't have the problem of shadows which are too dark.  Silver linings etc.
