A new day......lia

We all slept really well last night, hurrah!
Em didn't wake up much before 8 so after we'd had a cuppa in bed, we were up and at it as we had a busy day planned!

After a bath and showers we were ready and out in the car to go across to see my mum and sis. Em had her colouring books, pens and iPad to keep her occupied. Grandad had his newspaper (didn't aget a,chance to read it though, with both my mum and Emily chattering away ;-)

I dropped them off at mums, then whizzed off to meet my sis at Pilates. An hours quiet, so enjoyable, then we drove back to mums, quick change, and then the five of us went out for lunch. We chose a garden centre a little further away than our normal one, as it had an indoor play area so Em could use up some of her energy ;-)

We ordered food, half an hours wait, busy as its now school hols, but when it did arrive it was decent enough, other than hubs face when his marinated chicken skewers arrived, with a quinoa salad!! He doesn't do any type of pulses or lentil type things! So my side salad from my jacket potatoe was duly swapped!
Em polished off her sausage beans and chips in no time!

Then we had a little browse, Emily had been really good, so she got to choose a new reading book, Frozen! Fortunately, it seems to be what happens after the film.....she has read a couple of chapters already. She says she will read up to chapter 6 and then tell me and "grandy" what its all about!!

We had a quick cuppa with mum at home before driving back to ours. We did stop off en route to check progress on daughters extension........stud walls all in now, plumbing started, and even some plastering, so it's getting there!

Absolutely no time for photography again today, a quick shot, with some flash, as it was quite dark......but it does show off its fabulous colour dont you think?!

We weren't hungry this evening, as yet I've not had anything, grandad had a sandwich but Em wanted fish fingers and waffles......I don't know where she puts it all; good job she's never still ;-)

Whilst I'm posting this image, we are watching the Ice Age Movie ;-)
