You ain't seen me! Right!

We had  a lovely [hot] walk at Carlton Marshes today. The air was thick with butterflies and flying insects and lots of dragonflies with murderous intent.

I had another shot of the small skipper, but finally chose this beetle [Is it a cardinal?] I found in the garden whist watering.
