Privileged
Very privileged today to meet a Holocaust survivor and hear her story of survival, in spite of such atrocity. I was very honoured to be able to talk to her and have a book signed. I was amazed at her composure and her eloquence throughout her presentation and her sincere interest when I talked of sharing her story with my form group a few months ago. She was genuinely humbled that I already knew of her and her family's plight and that I had shared that with others. In her words she was 'grateful that I had taken the time to ensure that all those who had died, we're not forgotten' what an amazing lady. I really wasn't deserving of it.
Our students did us proud with their respectful and considerate behaviour, I was enamoured by them today. Teenagers really do undeservedly get a bad press.
