Yesterday I bought some pretty plants at the market to cheer up my flat. I'm useless with plants so here's hoping they last at least until my mum visits in a couple of weeks.
Today was a good day. I took my dog for a lovely walk in the morning which put me in a really good mood. Then I pottered about the flat until my ex came to pick up some post. It was actually really nice to see him - we kept it friendly and didn't get into any deep conversations.
I had thought about watching the England-France game in the pub but left it too late to organise anything with my friends, so ended up watching it at home on my own, dog on my lap.
Then I realised I hadn't taken a picture all day. So I started playing around with my camera, changing the settings and adventuring away from fully automatic mode for the first time ever. I took this photo of one of the plants I bought and really like how it came out.
In the evening I phoned my best friend, in the UK, and we chatted for hours while each drinking a bottle of wine. It was really nice that we could spend an evening together even though we're in different countries. I went to bed happy.
