On the plus side........!!

The temperatures on Lefkas  at the moment are  in the high 90's low 100's, it's too damn hot.
We ventured off road again today to the highest point of the island, after driving along 18kms of tracks, we were totally shaken and not stirred. Apart from the extreme heat, the other downside of the high temperatures is the haze. The distance you can see clearly is reduced by about 50 %, so what would be stunning views across the island, were sadly spoilt by the heat haze. On the plus side there were hundreds of these thistles either side of the track leading to the top of the mountain. I'd love to revisit Lefkada in May or October when the temperatures are not so extreme, and the air is crisp and clear.
