Is that a tongue sticking out?

This hollyhock has suddenly bloomed at the bottom of the garden.  The pale pink one I had seems to have disappeared.
Very good U3A talk about the restoration of Stowe gardens today by the head gardener who has been working there since he was 15 and has completed 35 years.  (I think he must know the garden quite well now!)
Gardens now managed by the National Trust
Invited to a BBQ this evening through the conservation volunteers.  I will not take anything out of the freezer until I see if the weather is inviting too!
