HELLFIRE AND BRIMSTONE

On the church grounds where I walk the dogs  they put up this tent every Summer and have a big doings.  It always brings to my mind the fires of hell.  I was surprised to see a field burn behind it, because of all of the warnings about fire danger from the dryness.
Oregon is a big producer of grass seed, and they used to burn all of the fields after the harvest.  It cleanses the fields of weeds I guess.  As you might imagine, this made for bad air quality.  People complained and laws were past.  It would slowly be reduced and then stopped.  This was years ago.
So the tent, the church, the smoke, and even the cell towers seem to have a story to tell.
