The Wettening

It rained today, grudgingly and little, but a little dampness got into the soil at least.  Still the heat lingers on, now with a mugginess attached to it.  House and garden chores as well as writing a bid were the order of the day.  In the evening we went in to Saint Céré for a walk (pic) and drinks with Ross and Glenda before going on to Jean-Luc and Michel's for a fantastic dinner.  The house has cooled enough for us to sleep upstairs in our own bedroom, rather than downstairs in the much cooler guest room.  I never know these days, just where I am when I waken up!
