The tiny, semi-transparent outer shell of an insect remains firmly glued to the Scotch Pine needles..long after it shed it's old skin and flew off brand new!

This little guy is only about 1/4 inch long so I used the 21 mm extension tube on the 50mm lens to get REAL close. The wind was whipping and the light was low so I chose a fast shutter speed and a high ISO to offset it.
