Don't tell the brides.

This evening I was invited to the house of one of my oldest childhood friends.  She and her partner are planning their wedding in September, and this evening's dinner was a chance for the Best Women and Bridesmaids to meet and hear all about the plans for their big day.

And what plans !   They are planning to involve as many of their family and friends as possible, stunning local venues, a beach BBQ, live music...amazing.  In fact, it made 'straight' weddings seem tame by comparison !

I'm very excited to be part of their special day and delighted to meet the other ladies involved.  What a gorgeous bunch of talented, strong, funny women.

We  shared some fun stories of growing up together in a small village in the 1970's before internet and text meant you had to hand write secret messages and hide them under a stone at the bottom of our respective gardens.

And by the end of the night I was very proud to be made an honorary Lesbian!
