Monument Valley

I went with the classic view of Monument Valley for this blip. What else could I choose? I have added a few others as extras, but this was the one that needed to be front and center.

Monument Valley is about 25 miles north of Kayenta, where I grew up. I took a quick trip there with a friend and toured Monument Valley the morning of our second day. It was a lot of fun. I hadn't been to MV in about 20 years, and it was more beautiful than I remembered.

We went on a four-hour guided tour. We were the only people on that tour. We saw ancient petroglyphs, buttes, sand dunes, hogans (traditional Navajo homes), wild horses and natural arches. It was magical.
